SitemapThe Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley (CMFV) awarded $944,600 in grants during its first grant cycle of 2026, supporting 57 nonprofit organizations in the Valley.
The Foundation works to connect donors to organizations in the area.
According to a news release, the Western Reserve Health Foundation, the Trumbull Memorial Health Foundation and the William Swanston Charitable Foundation donated more than half of the grant funds this cycle.
The remaining funds were contributed from fundholders and the CFMV’s discretionary funds.
Notable local organizations that received funds include:
American Red Cross of Greater Akron and the Mahoning Valley
Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries
Youngstown Business Incubator
Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation
