Neighborhood Marketing
While notable neighborhood
improvements resulting from the YNDC programs will certainly catapult a
positive image of certain city pockets into the greater community, we will
begin building a positive image of these neighborhoods now through external and
internal marketing efforts, such as:
- Capitalizing on the neighborhoods’ charming
histories
- Installing new street signs unique to each
neighborhood
- Posting neighborhood welcome signs and banners
- Placing signage on vacant lots and vacant home
improvement projects
- Developing an aggressive marketing campaign
- Dispersing promotional materials through
multiple media outlets
- Organizing welcome parties and packets for new
neighbors
- Planning open houses for newly rehabbed homes in
partnership with neighbors
- Updating neighbors about new homeowners
- Fostering neighborhood ownership of program
activities
- Organizing small block projects
