Market Gardening

The Market Gardener Training Program will educate interested Youngstown residents in environmental and business aspects of sustainable market gardening.  The course will run for 10 weeks, from early March until the beginning of May.  Each class will present practical agricultural techniques and small business development topics.  Several field trips to visit farmers and farmers markets will be provided, along with hands-on workshops.  Participants who complete the 10-week training program will receive assistance in finding further agricultural opportunities and will be provided with space at a market garden incubator site.  There is no cost for the course, but space will be limited to 25 participants.
