Community Supported Agriculture

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is programming that connects individual households with produce from local farms. At the beginning of the growing season, participants purchase shares for a portion of the crops from a farm or a network of farms in exchange for weekly and biweekly boxes of fresh produce. The system provides participants with low prices and farmers with up front capital for the season. The program enables participants to conveniently access locally grown farm fresh produce. The CSA component of the program is administered by Grow Youngstown in partnership with the YNDC.
