Green Homes

The Green Homes program restores formerly vacant and foreclosed properties to new life. Green Homes properties are fully renovated utilizing the Enterprise Foundation’s Green Communities Criteria and Mahoning County LEAP Healthy Home Standards. The homes are also weatherized through a partnership with Mahoning-Youngstown Community Action Partnership (MYCAP).

These homes are available to prospective homeowners using YNDC’s Healthy Homeownership Program, which allows individuals at or below 50 percent of the area median income to receive down payment assistance of up to $10,000 or 20 percent of the purchase price, whichever is less.
