Green Homes

In the Green Homes program, houses are acquired and rehabilitated through the Neighborhood Stabilization Program. The properties – strategically selected for maximum visual market impact – set new standards of neighborhood maintenance.

Beyond beautiful, the renovations are also eco-friendly, adhering to the Enterprise Foundation’s Green Communities Criteria and Mahoning County LEAP Healthy Home Standards. And, the houses are weatherized through a partnership with Mahoning-Youngstown Community Action Partnership (MYCAP).

These green homes are aggressively marketed to prospective homeowners using YNDC’s Healthy Homeownership Program, which allows individuals at or below 50 percent of the area median income to receive down payment assistance of up to $10,000 or 20 percent of the purchase price, whichever is less.

2419 Inglenook
770 Old Furnace Rd.
937 Woodford Ave.
