Tara Walker Pollock, Neighborhood Development Intern

Tara Walker Pollock is a Neighborhood Development Intern for the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation (YNDC). Though Tara looks forward to learning all aspects of the organization, her primary interests lie within YNDC's programs involving homeownership and strategic acquisition/rehabilitation.  Tara graduated from the University of Louisville in 2007 with of Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and a minor in Business Administration, then moved to New York City to pursue a Journalism career. After having her work published in Black Enterprise Magazine, creating a life in the Big Apple soon sparked Tara's passion for finding affordable, quality housing and helping others to do the same. It is Tara's goal to obtain a Master's degree in Urban Planning, and she is thrilled to be working with YNDC, whose mission aligns perfectly with her desire to now pursue a career in Community Development. Tara currently resides in Struthers, Ohio, while awaiting the return of her husband who is currently serving in Afghanistan with the U.S. Army.
